Fonction Gamma : relation fonctionnelle et Γ(5/2)

L2L3MPPSIdifficulté 2/5Analysepar XiMaths▲ Utile · 0

Énoncé

Pour x>0x > 0, on pose Γ(x)=∫0+∞tx−1e−t dt\Gamma(x) = \displaystyle\int_0^{+\infty} t^{x-1} e^{-t}\,\mathrm{d}t.

  1. Justifier que cette intégrale converge.
  2. Montrer que Γ(x+1)=x Γ(x)\Gamma(x + 1) = x\,\Gamma(x), puis que Γ(n+1)=n!\Gamma(n + 1) = n!.
  3. Sachant que ∫0+∞e−u2 du=π2\displaystyle\int_0^{+\infty} e^{-u^2}\,\mathrm{d}u = \frac{\sqrt{\pi}}{2}, calculer Γ(12)\Gamma\left(\frac{1}{2}\right) puis Γ(52)\Gamma\left(\frac{5}{2}\right).

Indications

Indication 1

Pour 1, comparer à tx−1t^{x-1} près de 00 et à 1t2\dfrac{1}{t^2} en +∞+\infty.

Indication 2

Pour 3, poser t=u2t = u^2.
